Hi,
eMMC spec can use only 1 bit, 4 bit or 8 bit data. I can add 4 bit data flashing, but flashing speed is limited by full speed USB hardware (~1 MB/s).
All eMMC data lines support (1bit, 4 bit and 8 bit) with high speed USB hardware (~20 MB/s) will be available in new Easy-Jtag Plus box.
Best Regards

Hi,
Thanks for quick reply PS,
my mistake sorry, eMMC support 3 data bus widths, 1bit (default), 4bit, 8bit :D
so we need new Easy-Jtag Plus box, while we waiting it release, can we get more speed to the classic box?
(maybe another silly question)
br,
Iwan

So you're saying that current box doesn't support USB 2.0? That's strange cause i've seen speeds at about 2MB/s when reading full dumps for data recovery.

On the other hand, will users be able to just buy a new box and keep the current card and activations going or it's gonna be a whole, complete set?

Hi,

Current box use CPU LPC1768 with Full Speed USB (12 Mbit Link). So maximum theoretical speed is 12 / 8 = 1.5 MB/s, but due to USB bus protocol and CPU's hardware delays real speed is 0.8 - 1.2 MB/s. Fast box hardware require another CPU with High Speed USB support (480 Mbit Link). High Speed USB (480 Mbit Link) real speed is 20-25 MB/s. You can see speed 2MB/s, because we are using data compression technology and write optimization for empty blocks.
We did everything to make current Easy-Jtag box as fast as possible, but progress never stop !

We are planning (means only planning) to develop Easy Jtag Plus hardware with High Speed USB support.
New box approximate tested speed:
1 bit eMMC ISP interface up to 2.5 MB/s (limited by maximum clock rate and 1 bit data line),
8 bit eMMC interface up to 20 MB/s (use eMMC socket on maximum clock rate).

We are not planning to discontinue old box production immediately after new box production starts.
We are not planning to stop support for current box, after release new box (software, protocol, drivers are the same).
We are not planning any additional cost activations (all current Easy-Jtag users will use new box with current card or keep to use old box).

Best Regards
P.S. All other details and features after release. Just use current box, download new advanced updates and make money now ;)

Well, that make sense. One more question about that planned new hardware. Are there plans to support UFS type memory with it?

i think very dificult for build emmc finder. but i have trick for find that without remove emmc for normal hardware phone with normal emmc.

1. emmc pinout it's always around emmc, but clk pin some phone placed
around cpu
2. find 1.8v and 2.8v -3.3v around emmc with usb connect to phone
vcc always conected to capasitor smd with brown collor smd
and conect ground and found vcc 1.8 and 2.8 - 3.3v to box
3. just find clk and cmd pin. box can read emmc with eror data line
a. clk always connect to 0 ohm resistor smd with black color smd
search 0 ohm resistor around emmc/cpu
b. cmd always conect to 1,8v with 9-11 kohm resistor smd
search 9-11 kohm resistor around emmc
4. find cmd and clk pin
a. if you just find cmd pin, you can try used noodle for clk pin for search
pin, when you try some pin, klik detect emmc on easy jtag tool until
detect emmc with eror data line.
b. if you just find clk pin, you can try used noodle for cmd pin for search
pin, when you try some pin, klik detect emmc on easy jtag tool until
detect emmc with eror data line.
c. when box can detect emmc with eror data line, remove noddle and
solder to that pin
5. find dat0 pin.
used noddle for search dat0, dato pin always conect to
1.8v vcc with resistor. some phone used resistor 9-11 kohm, some
phone not used resistor but have pin resistor on phone board without
resistor installed on phone board.
when you want try some dat0 pin, klik detect emmc on easy jtag tool,
until detected emmc without eror data line.

some phone not have complete emmc pinot, like samsung ace 3 gt-s7270
for search resistor don't forget disconect phone from any vcc
for search posisition resistor reference you must see many emmc pinout from another phonr from reference.

sory for my bad english. my be some one can make this better.

yes, same problem with me..!
but some people work with this :
- erase emmc using 2.4.0.0.
- SET WRITE REL USER
- WR_REL_GP1
- WR_REL_GP2
- WR_REL_GP3
- WR_REL_GP4
- in colum confirmation type CONFIRM
- and write extCSD

maybe it work, please correct me if am wrong

Yes, I can try the way you tell me, it can be usefull also and sincerely I didn't thought about it.
But I think those operations can be simplified with some development from team. Remember that already there is one box that can do it, ATF Box, but I would like to see this feature in our great Easy JTAG.

yes, same problem with me..!
but some people work with this :
- erase emmc using 2.4.0.0.
- SET WRITE REL USER
- WR_REL_GP1
- WR_REL_GP2
- WR_REL_GP3
- WR_REL_GP4
- in colum confirmation type CONFIRM
- and write extCSD

maybe it work, please correct me if am wrong

Read functions carefully. That function only available for SAMSUG eMMC, you're trying to fomat SKHYNIX eMMC.

try this, it work for me writing to skhynix...

- choose easy jtag ver. 2.4.0.0
- in FLASHER tab erase emmc card
- wait untill all done and then
- go to eMMC hw partition
- SET WRITE REL USER
- WR_REL_GP1
- WR_REL_GP2
- WR_REL_GP3
- WR_REL_GP4
- in colum confirmation type CONFIRM
- and write extCSD.

- after that go to emmc tool suite, and write full dump or write by vendor, and done.

this methode work perfectly for me

eMMC can use only 1, 4 or 8 bits. Not 2.
