Changinig wallpaper on J5 Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to customising my J5. I've acquired a CD of wallpaper, ringtones, startup/shutdown images, utilities for uploading to/downloading from the phone, and a standard data cable. However, I've been unsuccessful in transferring any files. Usually the programs I use state that GBP mode can't be activated. Having transferred the file GBP.DLL to various folders (windows, system, system32, root directory) I don't get this message if I use COMM3, but the progs still can't communicate with the phone. I have the data cable plugged into a serial port. Can anybody give me a step-by-step guide to customising my J5? Does it require unlocking in some way first? Do I need a specific type of data cable? Does something need flashing before files can be transferred? Does the phone need to be switched on or off in order to transfer files? Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks. Does the USB really make a difference? Presumably the same data is sent and the pins into the phone remain the same. Could you suggest how it might work better than a serial cable (before I part with the money to buy one)? Again, thanks for making the effort to respond.

I don't know why! But I have tried more than 20 serial cable, but they all don't work! I can convert these data cable to flash cable, but I can't make it work like a data cable! Someone from Taiwan said that they can buy a serial cable that can work with J5/J16 but I have no luck to make it work! For me, only a QN-3USB USB cable can work with my J5/J6/J16/J26/J7/J70/Z7 for wallpaper and ringtone!
