j70 cable trouble - GSM-Forum

i need help, all my j70 program seem to have cant init gbp mode nessage...does anyone know wha the problem is ?

by the way is there any cable schematic using USB cable instead of serial DB9 connector?

Hi,
You receive the message "can't init GBP mode" because you don't have the proper connection to computer through a DATA cable. Maybe you use a service cable. Please check if there is a short between 3-7. If not, it means you have a service cable so connect 3-7 and diconnect the short 3-8.
The schematics for USB cable is too complicated and involves some IC's to be programmed.

Take this:

for init u must modify cable :
DATA mode
1-GND
3- short with 7
5-RX
6-TX
8 short with 9

then for cteterminal:
service mode
1-GND
3-short with 8+9
5-RX
6-TX

all from right to left, keyboard up
this must work..

I have searched the web and all schematics i can find are "for money" .

If anyone have the scematics and wishes to give them for free, please reply.
