To connect SPH-M8400 phone you have to perform the following steps:
1. Go to dial window.
2. Enter "*#9090#" number.
3. Open numerical keyboard and press "1" number.
4. "UART_HFK USB_Diag Change complete" message must appear.
5. Press "END" softbutton.
6. go to "MENU" - "SETTINGS"
7. In upper menu select symbol with arrows
8.In oppened connections menu select "USB"
9. If "Active Sync" is checked dissable it
10. Check "Phone" and press left lower softbutton
11. Restart phone.
12. Press "Read Info" in Octopus Samsung software.

To put SPH-M8400 phone into emergensy mode you have to carefully perform
the following steps:
1. Reconnect phone battery.
2. Press and hold Call" + "Menu" + "Power ON" buttons.
3. Insert usb cable.

Please do these steps again. Also try to re-install drivers, try to connect the phone to another USB port.
