Hello, im trying to factory unlock a G900A that i have with my octoplus box. I hook up the correct uart cable but the software does not recognize it. Could you help me to set this us? I try going to *#9090# to change UART mode but it says diag config not support.

Hello.

Please block highlighted pin with a tape and try to connect the phone via Samsung Micro UART C3300k/C3303k cable with 523-525kOhm resistor.

Samsung SM-G900A Diag Mode Not Supported

The exact ServiceMode screen using the *#9090# code is as follows:

DIAG CONFIG
Not Support

I have tried safe mode and everything I can think of with no success.

From what I found the SM-G900A has 0 updated roms. Its running Android 4.4.2
I have done the following:
Network sim unlocked
Rooted
USB Debuging on.

What is the workaround or solution? Please help

Write EFS file

Primarily to write EFS files. Occasional IMEI repair. Without diag mode can't repair security, write EFS files.

I have seen this issue now with 2 Samsung phones (DIAG CONFIG not support)
SM-G386T Galaxy Advent
SM-G900A Galaxy S5

Any ideas?

Yes, some firmwares don't support diag menu via "*#9090". To connect SM-G900A, do the following steps:

1. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
2. Go to Menu->Settings->More->About Device.
3.Tap on "Build number" 7 times to enable developer options.
4. Go to Menu->Settings->More->Developer options.
5. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
6. Go to dial window.
7. Enter "*#0808#" number.
8. Select "DM+Modem+ADB".
9. Press Home button.
10. Go to dial window.
11. Restart phone.
12. Press "Read Info" in software

I tried your suggestion. The phone still wont be recognized. I do not think its the cable or the box because i just used this same setup to repair IMEI and unlock a galaxy S 4.
