is this g920w8 with september security patch supported on 2.4.5 or 2.4.6 version?

just tried on 2.4.4 and cant unlock.

still cant unlock this crap`

I rooted the phone and tried... no success in any method, read/direct
I downgraded modem to PG5, Result was No Baseband, no IMEI, so cant unlock
Upgraded again to PI4, baseband back, but same story cant unlock, sept 1st security
I downgraded whole firmware to PG5, again dead baseband
I Upgraded modem only to PI4, keeping PG5 on firmware, still cant unlock.

SO, no chance to unlock this? gotta buy codes from telus?

Hello.

To unlock SM-G920W8 with new Security You need to downgrade phone firmware. If downgrading results in null IMEI/baseband - unfortunately currently no solution for direct unlock of such phone.

You can use Factory Unlock service. It works with any firmware.

Hi buddy , don't know what are you doing wrong because this security version can be unlocked with Octoplus latest version 2.4.6.

This guy HERE have just done one with same security as yours.

Check and try again.

Sorry, it wont work for me, I have tried with 3 different computers, one running seven 32 bit, and two running seven 64 bit, got the same result.

so, I have just bought TELUS Code, since Octoplus factory mode is about 28 USD, telus only 12.

thanks , and fix the issue team, if possible. let me know before tomorrow afternon if you need me to read anything off the phone to send it to you.

for all unlock you need to put sim card out of the phone, i unlock those g920w8 or g925w8 ,g930w8 ,g935w8 everyday when i left sim card on them unlock fail , for the g920w8 pg5 root it, then press unlock(2.4.6) dont read code ,sometimes you need to restart the phone after any failed operation ,that s what i try and works for me 100% hope that could help
