This is the log I get -------------------------------------------- To connect SGH-I747M phone you have to perform the following steps: 1. Disconnect USB cable from phone. 2. Go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Development. 3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option. 4. When message is appear press "Yes". 5. Go to dial window. 6. Enter "*#7284#" number. 7. Set "UART" radio button to "MODEM" value. 8. Go to "Qualcomm USB Settings". 9. Select "DM+Modem+ADB". 10. Close window. 11. Go to dial window. 12. Enter "*#9090#" number. 13. Set "Diag config" to "UART" value. 14. Restart phone. 15. Press "Read Info" in software. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Platform: Samsung Android Selected port: COM49 Selected model: SGH-I747M Phone was not found on the selected port! Searching for USB diagnostic port... Connecting to phone on COM49 Mode: Emergency --------------------------------------------- I followed from step 1~14, but I have 1 problem. *#9090# gets me nowhere, I get nothing from it. (which I think this is the main problem here) I tried androd firmware 4.04, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.3 All of them give same results (nothing happens) Yes I tried changing ports, read info on same port multiple times etc I even rooted the phone, but nothing happens However when I do 'read info' on Anroid, EFS Manger tab It does read this Platform: Samsung Android Selected port: COM49 Selected model: SGH-I747M Reading info, please wait... Detected phone model: SGH-I747M Firmware compiled date: Tue Nov 20 22:35:43 KST 2012 PDA version: I747MVLDLK4 CSC version: I747MOYBDLK4 SW version: I747MVLDLK4 Phone IMEI: 353323055819501 Phone SN: R21DB3XX6ZB Android version: 4.1.1 (JRO03L) * I tried read security, read EFS (they both work) But when I change the tab to Main or Repair IMEI/SN It goes back to Platform: Samsung Android Selected port: COM49 Selected model: SGH-I747M Phone was not found on the selected port! Searching for USB diagnostic port... Connecting to phone on COM49 Mode: Emergency Of course none of the operations work either. I've working on this for many days, and it's driving me crazy!! Could there be a defect with the box itself? |

To connect SGH-I747M via Micro USB cable, You have to perform the following steps: 1. Disconnect USB cable from phone. 2. Go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Development. 3. Connecting to phone on COM34 Phone connection failed ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In fact any operation related to UART cable never worked with me. and I need answers for these questions *#9090# don't work at all in any firmwares I tried (4.0.4, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.3) How do I set config diag to USB without *#9090#? (it seems they disabled it) I'm able to read info on Android/ EFS manager tab, but Main and Repair IMEI/SN tab don't work at all. Ay idea? |

First of all, it's not the problem with my PC since I tried it on 2 different PC (one with newly installed windows 7) and I get the same result. This could be the cable, so I just ordered Samsung Micro UART C3300K/C3303K. Once I get new cable, I'll update you with the process. Thanks. | |
