how to root samsung gt-i8550l


Hello I´m not find the procedure to root this device. I need to repair it.

To root the device, try to use the latest versions of VRoot, Kingo Root, Impactor Softwares.

Hello I root the device with vroot and is on, the icon of vroot is in the device, but when I try to repair imei or simply read it I get this message:

This means You have not connected the phone correctly. Phone's info should be read our correctly and fully. To connect the phone, please perform all the steps 1-15 from Software manual ("Help" button in Software).

Well when I type *#0808# I get the options to change to DM+MODEM+ADB the device said saved 9 but when I enter again the option is MTP+ADB. And when I type *#7284# and select the "modem" nothing hapend

Disconnect all other devices from PC, reboot the PC and try to connect the phone again. To connect GT-I8550L, perform the following steps:

1. Disconnect Micro USB cable from the phone.
2. Go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Development.
3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
4. When message is appear press "Yes".
5. Go to dial window.
6. Enter "*#7284#" number.
7. Set "USB" radio button to "MODEM" value.
8. Go to "Qualcomm USB Settings".
9. Select "DM+Modem+ADB".
10. Close window.
11. Go to dial window.
12. Enter "*#9090#" number.
13. Set "Diag config" to "USB" value.
14. Restart the phone.
15. Press "Read Info" in Octopus Samsung software.

Write here, whether all the steps has been performed successfully or were problems with some of them. Also say, what device appears in PC Device Manager, when You perform steps 1-15 and connect the device to PC.

Hello, I follow all the steps, but when I restart the phone it come back to the original state, and if I conect the device to pc and try to change the options nothing hapend the changes can´t be make.:

*#0808# (mtp+adb)

*#7284# (nothing select)

*#9090# (usb) >>>> works

Try to re-flash the phone with firmware from the Support Area, then repeat the steps required for connection and try to read phone's info on both "Main" and "Android/EFS manager" tabs of the Software.
