I8260l write imei failed [Solved]


Hi, I have a i8260L 4.1.2, blacklisted, need to repair imei, but process fails.
Phone was rooted with kingo, vroot too.
ADB shell is permanetly accepted by SU (no messages appears on window to be "allowed" during process)
What to do now?

To connect GT-I8260L phone you have to perform the following steps:
1. Disconnect USB cable from phone. 
2. Go to Menu->Settings->More->About Device.
3.Tap on "Build number" 7 times to enable developer options.
4. Go to Menu->Settings->More->Developer options.
5. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
6. Go to dial window.
7. Enter "*#0808#" number.
8. Select "DM+Modem+ADB".
9. Press Home button.
10. Go to dial window.
11. Enter "*#9090#" number.
12. Set "Diag config" to "USB" value.
13. Restart phone.
14. Press "Read Info" in software.

that cell phone is a special case, u need a special firmware from support,

But support gives option between root phone and writing special firmware.
I choosed rooting... it does not work.

try to root with vroot,towel root and king root and post results

Yes, try to root the device by using another rooting Software/exploit, try to run SU from the phone's menu manually and accept all requests on the phone's screen.

as I told u I used Vroot, kingo, and all the SU requests were permanently accepted.
see log, firstly Octopus detects phone as "ROOTED", then it cannot resolve next step because of the negative to access "without root privileges"... its a contradiction.

Do the next:

1. Delete all files from the folder "c:\Program Files\Octoplus\Octoplus_Samsung\LOG\".
2. Take our SIM and SD cards from the phone.
3. Root the phone.
4. Perform the "Repair IMEI" operation again.
5. Close the Software.
6. Upload somewhere the latest created "*.log" and "*.logx" files from the folder "c:\Program Files\Octoplus\Octoplus_Samsung\LOG\" and post here links, we will check, where can be the problem with the device.

ok, this is the thing, follow this steps,
1.- Download "GT-I8260L_for_IMEI_Repair.oct" from Support, and Flash with Octopus box
2.- the phone "DIE" (don't scare)
3.- use Odin and install the next firmware "I8260XXAMG3_I8260LUXAMG1_I8260XXAMG4_HOME.tar.md5 "
4.- Odin in this step "Fail", yst restart the cellphone,

Clean software 4.1.2, then rooted with Frama: again failed, here ar ur links:

After much times of testing different ways, finally done by Maurioski´s way, but with little mods:

AT THIS STAGE PHONE IS UNROOTED (1ST ROOTCHECKED), NOW WE MUST ROOT (I USED FRAMA, THEN, 2ND ROOTCHEKED: OK)

5.-

now try to repair IMEI
HERE ALL OK (AND NOT NEEDED TO TRINGLE IT AWAY (AS ITS SAID IN OTHER POSTS)
