Yes confirm it, you cannot Read CERT from Qualcomm device but can Read from N900 and Write in any N900X like N9005 itc...

Try and check compatibility, SW autoceck if is compatible Cert of g900h Exinox based to g900a, not remember all, but in SW g900a not thre's option for Write Cert, so how you want write?....g900h is supported but g900a isn't supported yet...

Possible Workaround Solution I'm going to try now!!!

I'm going to use the old version of software to change to service IMEI and then connect the repaired imei phone to new software and backup QCN file. Then I can restore this to other phones? I agree, having hundred phones out there with same IMEI seems like bad idea. They could all be blocked at one time by same or all carriers via blacklist. What we need is easy way to edit the QCN file and change the IMEI in the QCN file. Or for someone to create program to create or edit existing cert files. I have never had problems with 3g/4g on Note 3 T-Mobile phones after changing to service imei!!! Is this how the S5 is going to be too? We need more options for editing QCN or Cert files..... asap to use this version of Octoplus.

You might want to do some reading as most of your points have been explained previously. To summarize the QCN can't be modified to repair the IMEI anymore. This was an old method that worked a LONG time ago. Doesn't work now.

Forget about editing cert files. Have you opened one up? The cert is VERY extensive and is ONLY for that IMEI. You can't just change the IMEI number and use the same CERT. It'll fail.

If you repair enough note 3 phones you'll see what people are talking about with the network dropping with service IMEIs. The S5 doesn't have a service IMEI range AFAIK and I haven't seen network drop with them either after repairing the IMEI+CERT.

UPDATE ABOUT HOW TO UNLOCK/REPAIR WITH NEW METHOD, ONLY 3 STEPS and ALL DONE, NO MORE UART CABLE, ALL WITH MICROUSB, (Octopus Sw Vers. 1.7.1 or High):

How to Unlock/Repair IMEI for SM-N900, and all N900x, like N900w8, N9005 itc... devices:
1) Root the phone
2) Perform Wipe Security procedure ("Repair Security/Wipe Security" button)
3) Write Certificate ("Write cert" button)

Note: After performing steps 1-3, your device would be unlocked and IMEI changed to the one from Certificate file!

Q: Where can I get Certificates' files?
A: You can read out Certificates from supported Exynos-based devices (SM-N900, SM-N9000Q). Also, You can use original Samsung Certificates.(if have who sell you), or can Share HERE

Read or Write CERT file, can see also in this Video, here link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=DVxRxGZ2jbg

Q: Can Read Out CERT file from N900/N900Q and Write in any Samsung device N900X?

A: Yes You can Write CERT file from Any N900/N900Q Exinos based-device on any Qualcomm N900X, like N9005,itc..., Sw Octopus Ceck automatic compatibility and Write it.

I have a question..

Q - I have a locked G900 phone, then I make all backups (Cert, Qnc, EFS, etc) then I make Wipe EFS procedure then write back Cert file, It will be unlocked or not? Simlock config is inside Cert file and IMEI also or only IMEI is inside?

A- ?
