Try to re-flash the device with different firmwares and check, whether modem (baseband) is correct (not Unknown). If after writing all firmwares, which You have, phone's baseband is still Unknown - most likely, this is HW problem (problem with phone's eMMC flash chip). | |

Member: 2265057 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | samsung m919 4.3. uart cable can not find phone hello. new with octoplus. i was doing imei repair on sgh m919 4.3. i rooted the phone manually. the usb part seemed to work fine. it made backup and said to remove usb. wait 1-2 mins and connect to box with uart. when connected it just says searching for phone forever. never finds phone or gives error, it just sits there. i was able to repair sgh t999 today with no problems but all was done on usb...no uart cables. i received a giant bag of cables with my box. i tried every one that can connect to the m919. most there was no response at all. with the cable labelled rx-at170 muai, the phone did beep and respond but still not recognized by box. do i need to be using a specific cable? is this something other then the cable? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks |

Member: 1146942 Status: Offline Sonork: 100.1587278 Thanks Meter: 27,412 | Try to do the next: 1. Install the latest Software version (Software). 2. Make Repair EFS. 3. Re-flash the phone. 4. Make Factory data reset and wipe cache partition. 5. Make Repair IMEI. 6. Write this QCN file (https://mega.co.nz/#!Tsgg1TZC!n6X6Bj...nB-yHpxiMBnkvM). 7. On the second step of Repair IMEI procedure, connect the phone to Box via Samsung Micro UART C3300k/C3303k cable. Try to use another Samsung Micro UART C3300k/C3303k cable, maybe the problem is with cable. 8. Post here or send us to PM full Software log with all of these actions and say the result. |

Member: 2265057 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | not sure how to do step 6. how do i write qcn file. i have to ask. did you see anything in the software log? you recommend that i do all those steps, but then say if they dont work it may be the cable? is there no way to know? i have looked everywhere in the forums and seen many people with the same problem, but not any real solutions. seems like uart is problematic. thanks |

Member: 2265057 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | not sure if this could be the problem, but need to ask either way. when i do the *#9090#, it says set to a usb value. i am not sure which option to select. could this cause a problem with uart connection? i have been able to read info from the phone and it connects fine with usb, just not uart. thanks |

Also, You can try to use another Box as UART inteface, maybe the problem is with Box COM port. Also prefrom all steps 1-7 and post here full Software log. |
