need help samsung galaxy note 2 i317 - GSM-Forum

have a problem with a note 2 i317. I conect to the pc and when I put to reed info don't recognize the phone.

To connect SGH-I317 phone you have to perform the following steps:
1. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
2. Go to Menu->Settings->Developer options.
3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
4. When message is appear press "Yes".
5. Go to dial window.
6. Enter "*#7284#" number.
7. Set "UART" radio button to "MODEM" value.
8. Go to "Qualcomm USB Settings".
9. Select "RNDIS+DM+MODEM".
10. Close window.
11. Go to dial window.
12. Enter "*#9090#" number.
13. Select "DM/UM over HS-USB".
14. Restart phone.
15. Press "Read Info" in software.

Try to connect the phone via Micro USB cable and, if the device not connect, try to connect it via Samsung MICRO UART C3300k/C3303k cable.

I need help as well. My octoplus box has not been able to detect any phone.
I have tried everything.

That is exactly what I did. That is why I also tried the other settings in Qualcomm USB Settings. That is why in one of them it gave me the error emergency mode. I already tried also both options Modem and PDA in Uart and in USB. I have tried different ports and different computers. One computer with windows xp sp3 and the other windows 7 both in 32bits

Were all of steps 1-13 been performed successfully or were problems with some of them?

Also try in step 7 to do the next:
7. Set "UART" radio button to "PDA" value.

I have done all the steps. And I have also had to change them back to trasfer files from my computer to my celphone faster. Otherwise my computer does not recognize my phone. I know that the cable, the port and everything is ok because it works with kies or anything I want but octoplus box.

About the octoplus box all the softwares are updated. All the drivers are recognized and installed. I have also updated the dongle with the software. I don´t know what else to do.

What devices appear in PC Device Manager when You connect the phone to PC? If You performed all steps carefully and correctly should appear diagnostic and modem ports.

Sorry, I installed a custom rom with kitkat 4.4.2 on my phone and the codes I dial do not give me the options I had before. I cannot go back the the stock rom because Google does not let you downgrade once you update to the latest version. I will look for another phone to work on so that you can help me have my octoplus box working the way it should.
