I'm trying to repair IMEI on Note 5 N920T COKC version. Someone else tried to unlock the phone before and it was stuck on Samsung logo when I got it. So, I don’t have nv-data or any backup to restore.

I tried to repairing EFS, write certificate and writing another phone nv-data but no luck so far.

I also tried similar things using Z3X box and at some point it was saying Security damaged.

The phone IMEI shows null/null and the process on Octoplus I’m getting Executing exploit...

Executing exploit failed, Writing Certificate failed message.

What is the right way to fix this? I’ll appreciate any help!

Can you try to flash the modem bin only to get the baseband back? Then write cert again.

Hello.

As You can see from Software log, phone's modem part is damaged:
Quote:
SW version: Unknown
This can be Software (modem firmware or EFS is damaged, or You have written unsuitable firmware) or HW problem.

You should re-flash the device with different firmwares one by one and check, whether modem is correct (not Unknown). And only then (when phone's modem part will be correct) perform "Repair EFS" and "Repair IMEI" operations. It is not possible to repair IMEI, if phone's modem part is damaged.

If after writing of all firmwares, which You have, phone's baseband is still null or unknown (SW version is Unknown) - most likely, this is HW problem (problem with eMMC flash chip).
