To make EFS backup, You should root the device. To just make Repair EFS, no need to root.

When you do REPAIR EFS does it zero out IMEI?
Yes, for all mentioned above devices, except SM-N910x/SM-N915x series, after repairing EFS, phone's IMEI will be reset to default value.

Yes, to make Security backup, You need to root the phone. If You will not have Security backup, You will not return the device to the previous (initial) state, so, all operations You do at your own risk.

Ok, write different firmwares and check baseband. Then say the result here.

But sir as he said he has n910a which you can't root becs bootloader is block so how did he backup the efs? Because to backup the efs you have to root the phone.

Also if you really have a n910a in hands you would of known the bootloader is locked and not possible to root. so why do you have the read efs option lit up for the n910a?

I am learning now sir from people like you and others

LOL. see there are 3 files that need to be modified the mdm1, mdm2 and mdm3 partitions. mdm1 and mdm2 are easy because they have a designation in the pit file. however mdm3 is the GOLDEN COPY. and mdm3 does not have a designation in the pit file so when you try to flash it it will fail. and if you cannot modify mdm3 modifying mdm1 and mdm2 is pointless because when the phone reboots mdm3 will restore mdm1 and 2 back to original state. That is why its called the GOLDEN COPY.
Yes Right which you can backup from efs pro. But agian you need to root and install busybox
