J727P Unlock doesn't work - GSM-Forum

I tried and did all kinds of things and ended up having to do it a different way. The "Service app" that tries to install fails.
Phone was rooted and all check log.

At first I though the MSM8953 chipset only supported cdma/lte but either their specs are wrong or you didn't investigate this right before you released it. Many other boxes claim that they can unlock but cant either.
See below (And yes I tried it on 2.5.5 which doesnt work either so please dont copy and paste to "Update to the latest version"):

Please explain "Unlock doesn't work" in more details. Does phone request an unlock code, or "Invalid SIM" notification remains when You insert SIM card?
Also, did You try to enable GCF?

Brother this is a sprint phone I have never had sprint phones ask for a unlock code please give us some help octopus team not automated responces

I have tried GCF doing the following.

However at 0000- no menu appears

Dial *#0011# and in the service menu do the following

Click (menu) then (key input) then input Q then (Ok)
Click (menu) then (back)
Click (menu) then (key input) then input 0000 then click (Ok)

Wait for about 15 seconds then a menu will pop up, from there follow these procedures:

Click (UMTS) then (DEBUG SCREEN) then (PHONE CONTROL) then (NETWORK CONTROL) then (GCF) then the top option. From there you may press the home button and go to Settings and change the mobile networks to either Automatic or GSM.

Yes this work and I can get into menu however the phone is still locked.

Any further assistance .

I get what you are saying but maybe this will now get octopus to fix there software to actually unlock the phone.

I have been asking the Octo team for support for two weeks to no avail .

I believe other tool deserve the credit on this.

Please explain "Unlock doesn't work" in more details. Does phone request an unlock code, or "Invalid SIM" notification remains when You insert SIM card? Also, did You try to enable GCF?
