Damaged PID can be repaired via Mprog. Just tested by myself Will prepare a workaround with pictures and required files soon!

IF the box is not detected by Mprog you must go to the invalid driver in the device manager and find the driver manually and choose the one that says Serial to USB driver with out branding. After that instalation Mprog will detect the box so u can write the EPT.

Dont worry ......i had that kind of problem but solved (thanks infinity box).Download this driver first and set up..... FTDI_CDM_v2.08.08_0403-D6D0_0403-0000.rar

then update to normal octopus box driver.....CDM v2.08.28 Certified.restart ur pc.....thanks to infinity box ...but sorry for octopus box support that they dont care abt this. (work on xp 100%)

I have had to use a other box for its uart port now. Until I get my replacement box in that I have to pay for . Hopefully it won't only last 4 months . All my drivers are installed and serial port shows working fine . But will never detect the phone . But other box uart port will . I have heard though before I bought the octopus box that other on here and other sites have had many problems with there box mostly the uart port
