Hello.

There can be three reasons of this problem:
1. Box has HW problem (problem with UART connector or other HW problems).
2. Problem with Samsung Micro UART cable (try to use another cable to be sure, that the cable is OK).
3. Problem with phone's or Software's settings (You have not correctly performed all of phone's settings before connecting the device or selected incorrect COM port in Software).

Same issue

I can't seem to get my N900T connected via UART to my Octoplus box. I have been reading every forum thread but nothing works. I've installed the drivers, used about 8 different C3300k 530kOhm cables. I've only clicked OK when the phone is connected to the UART via the box. Are we suppose to change PDA to modem? I'm trying to narrow it down.

2. Wait for 1-2 minutes.
3. Connect phone via UART cable to the Box.

Hello.

Why IMEI in your device is "Unknown"?:
Quote:
Phone IMEI: Unknown
Try to re-flash the phone with different firmwares and then try to make Repair IMEI again. Try to use another Box as UART interface with all of Samsung Micro UART cables You have, maybe, the problem is with Box UART interface.

I attempted to flash the 4.3 and then even flashed 4.4. I've been able to successfully root each version. It just hangs that that same point. I have tried my Z3X box but it doesn't register as well. What should I see in the Driver Manager? I see a Samsung COM port if my phone is plugged in otherwise with just the box plugged in I see "USB Serial PORT (COM8)". All my drivers seem to be fine except for "MDSJ" under Other Devices. I'd include a screenshot but I don't have enough posts to do so.

Also my phone says Unknown because after it reset the IMEI and was unsuccessful it has said Unknown. I have attempted this on two N900T Note 3's. What suggestions do you have? I have purchased the multi-selector UART cable and am waiting for it in the mail. Thank you for your help.

Staff found the solution to this problem ..
First download the drivers from FTDI edited specifically for OCTOPLUS: http://www.4shared.com/rar/SWtFXMWJc...plus_Uart.html
First run FTClean file to clean all FTDI drivers pc, restart the pc and update the drivers Usb Serial Converter (found in USB controllers category (universal serial bus)) and Drive Usb Serial Port (COM and LPT ports) with the link.

In order to connect the phone via UART, You need to block highlighted pin with a tape/paper and use Samsung C3300k/C3303k micro UART cable with 525-530kOm resistor for connection.
