Disconnect USB cable from phone. 2. Go to Menu->Settings->More->About Device. 3.Tap on "Build number" 7 times to enable developer options. 4. Go to Menu->Settings->More->Developer options. 5. Turn on "USB Debugging" option. 6. Go to dial window. 7. Enter "*#3424#" number. 8. Select "DM+Modem+ADB". 9. Press Home button. 10. Restart phone. 11. Member: 1815016 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 77 | I don't think it's locked necessarily... It probably just has rollback protection in place since 5.1.1 includes Device Protection. CF writes to recovery and cache partitions, so that should still be doable. CF hasn't been updated to include recovery and cache imgs from the new update, so in essence it's like trying to roll back, hence why it's causing bootloops. |

Secured bootloaders keep the phone on a current or newer revision of the firmware. It stops the download process if a older revision of a firmware is sent to the phone. Locked bootloaders are only on ATT and Verizon phones as far as i know. On these phones you cannot load a custom recovery through download mode whereas on Sprint and T mobile you can (which dont have locked bootloaders). |
