why still asking for root,if using last update?

To connect GT-I9003 phone you have to perform the following steps:
1. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
2. Go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Development.
3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
4. When message is appear press "Yes".
5. Go to dial window.
6. Enter "*#7284#" number.
7. Set "USB" radio button to "PDA" value.
8. Press Home button.
9. Press "Read Info" in software.

To connect GT-I9300 phone you have to perform the following steps:
1. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
2. Go to Menu->Settings->Developer options.
3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
4. When message is appear press "Yes".
5. Connect usb cable to phone.
6. Go to dial window.
7. Enter *#9090# number.
8. Set speed to 115200.
9. Reboot phone.
10. Press "Read Info" in software.

why still asking for root with 1.9.3 update?

Hello.

Please carefully read release notes of 1.9.3 update. GT-I9300 is not in range of the models, for which new unlock algorithm was added (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f684...added-1940873/).

Root the phone and repeat "Unlock" operation.
