OLD SKOOL: C12 dead..... - GSM-Forum

hi men, i have brought in one philips c12 (aka savvy aka 128/138). it has problem of contact retailer.

i made flash of phoone with sw_uswp software and flash file i find on www.mobile.box.sk

phone came on and told me "phone permanantly blocked".

i use martek 4.01 software and click "clear code tries".

now phone comes on but when logs to network it powers off

i think the sw_uswp software did not do its job, when it says "exiting...." it just stay there for 10 mins without tell me sucess.

so i think eeprom was not updated with new flash data and CRC's is wrong...

how to solve this?

I can reflash c12 but this phone is only on 900 so it will only ever work on voda or 02

hi monty im aware the phone is single band...

the customer needs the phone as his original deal from all the years ago is still very good. but the phone went "contact retailer" so he brought it here to fix..

which software do u use to flash the phone? can u attach please?

dear hard, that software does nothing?

hi mate,write flash and eeprom then rep with martech...u can solve 100 %
or contact me for working pcb...

hi surgeon,

i have wrote f/w many many many times on two computer and in winXp and win98...

i have wrote a working eeprom i find on these forums using the martech.

i also used one program that takes input flash file and outputs working unlocked eeprom file, no help either.

martech i have 5.21 and 4.01 hane option of "repair all eeprom checksum" dissabled

i must repair the CRC's

I no the phone well but if you alter the soft in the phone sim will not work.
sim and phone are together if you got another one c12 the sim of your customer would not work in it .
I think that phone was BT biggest regret as they were used as bashers
and BT lost a fortune

yes i know the history, i was there too

just never had to fix one...

i given this phone back to customer anyway, it still turns off when log to network! o well.
