SE MT11i 'NO SIM' after unlocking - GSM-Forum

Hello,

After unlocking showing 'no sim card inserted' message.
Already tried repair TA, flashing new firmware, repair phone.
Octo Team please advise!

Hello.

What was showing when You inserted SIM card before unlocking? "Unsupported SIM card" or 'no sim card inserted' also?

Please also post here full Software log with all performed operations with the phone (Unlock, Repair TA, Write firmware and others).

As I see from Software log, unlock operation was performed successfully without any errors. Please check, maybe your device has HW issues:

Quote:

Maybe, the problem is with SIM connector/holder.

Try also to re-flash the phone with different firmwares, try to use another SIM cards.

Already chcecked other SIMs and flashed other soft ofc. In the meantime I've seen posts about some phones with new security apparently not being supported for unlock (produced after 12W14). This one is 12W18.

Do you think this is the problem, despite unlock process going through?

Yes, unfortunately devices, which where produced later 12W14 are not supported for unlock, this is the problem.

I think it would be a good idea to put that info in the device's help and info section.
That will probably save a load of confusion and time for some others that are not aware!
