Talking Cloning a Kyocera 2235

Hello GSM-Forum. Long time lurker, first time poster. I have an old Kyocera I'd like to clone to ensure a backup is available before it fails (it is on a grandfathered plan and the provider will not transfer). I understand CDMAware and other software have the capability. In my possession is a new USB serial to data cable for the phone and two other NIB identical models. Would someone give me a start? I appreciate any help! TIA
