Member: 729286 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | COMP128 v2 Sim I am new here and I have some questions, my English is so bad, I understand, but it is difficult for me to express correctly, so be patient, please. 1. the algorithm used in sim cards is comp128 v2, it is unknown, so even having the Ki we cant use it!?? 2. What is the internal structure of a Sim card? I have understood(http://www.gsmsolutionsltd.com/phonevolts/pdf/SIMcard_Guide.pdf) that it is formed by a PIC16F84 and a 24lc16, but that is what it is inside a golwafer-goldcard type smart card. 3. Isn't any way to read the hidden content of a sim card? if it is a PIC16F84 like I understand in the article, as I know there are ways to read the content and to get the program. Thanks!! |

Generaly - each SIM manufacture could slightly modify algo (f.e. by changing constants). 2. Internal structure of the SIM has rather strong protection 3. Tunnel microscope would be neccessary. And a laser layer-by-layer crystal evaporating procedure with the following ****ysis of the dump. |

Member: 15073 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 12 | Hi, Some Ideas: - Normaly all operators use COMP128 V2 or V3 (is the same of V2 but the Kc are undecapet). - The SIM Card are manufactured for some manufactured, every of them have his own S.O and kind of card. You can search holes in one type but this holes are invalid in other manufactured. - The hole of COMP128 V1 are common for all card (V1 of course). - The COMP128 v2 is know. If you are member of GSM Group you can access to this algorimt, but this is not sufficient to cracked it. Regards, Sir Graham.
