Member: 9824 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 79 | You can see on the above picture the circuit diagram of a silvercard... The chip is connected to the EPROM as on the picture. Since there is no direct way to store on the Eprom (because there are not enough pads on a smartcard to connect them with the memory), a loader has to be programmed first on the Microchip that will pass the data received to the EPROM and afterwards the main program is programmed on the chip. Goldcard/Silvercard/Greencard are all with CPU from http://www.microchip.com. If you need the datasheet for the 16F876A, here is a link: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/e...Doc/39582b.pdf.
