How to convert data from SimScan (Dejan) to SimMax???? - GSM-Forum

Hi Guys,

Maybe this topic had been written several months ago, but truly I don't get any idea of it.

I have had IMSI and KI data obtained from scanning of SimScan by Dejan, something that I'm always fail with my sim-max 12in1. The problem is how can I convert this data (imsi_ki.dat) file so that the sim-scanner program of sim-max can read it and back up into my sim-max 12in1 card?

*sigh* So, what should I do? Is imsi_ki.dat file useless then? Actually I had bought two blank sim-max 12in1 cards, should I throw them to the street?

What do you need for SIM-MAX?

Can't you enter KI and IMSI manually on the software?

If not, do you have any file with IMSI and KI (any IMSI/KI) in SIM-MAX format ?

Sim-max doesn't provide any method to input KI and IMSI manually. After scanning a sim card with its own reader, it will automatically ask for password and then directly back up it into blank sim card. I've once opened a sim-max data file, but it contained all characters that I didn't understand at all. No numerical sign, it was just like a machine language. It was so different with Dejan sim-scan data file that clearly state the IMSI and KI numbers.

So can you suggest any way to put the imsi_ki.dat from Dejan into my $40 blank sim-max card? Please help me. Are you sure you can do something with data file in sim-max format? I will send to you one if you want. Please advice.

why dont you calculate codes using simmax reader and own software? so you do not need to conversion, you can directly use.

Try to open it with a HEX editor,
maybe You can see The Ki and Imsi in clear then
and how it is build..
Maybe it´s only saved as Bin from SimMax reader...

As I wrote at the first time, SimMax was always fail to calculate my simcard. It had broken my simcard twice! Well ... I should buy silver or gold card from Dejan I think ...

which reader do you have? simmax 3? or simmax 2?

Sorry Daniel, i was wrong. i think simmax is sim magic but now i see that it is different product.

i know that Sim-Max products are not stable and not good working. in HK and Taiwan they have few customers.

Yea, SimMax is different with sim-magic, but I have the conventer program from sim-magic to simMax. So can you converse from Dejan to sim-magic?
