How to read USB reader as com port - GSM-Forum

Any one,

I have USB card reader, since most of software developed in this froum only read through com port. USB devices seem to be unusable.

Does any body know the best solution for this? either hardware or software
May be some one know where to get serial port emulator?

I use a USB card reader and it works fine. Try downloading sim scan at www.magicsim.com and the usb driver

The USB driver from magic sim been installed. But still Sim scanner unable to recognize my USB readers.

I think it's because either magic sim or sim max, both only support USB reader with Prolific chipset. Correct me if I am wrong.
Mine is from microsystem http://www.smart-cardsys.com/products/SCR301USB.htm
