Prodigy SIM reader : would a green card work ? - GSM-Forum

Hi ,
I just bought a Prodigy SIM reader (info : HERE).
It cost me 15$ and works great. Only problem is that i didn`t get a blank SIMcard with it.

My question was if a greencard would work on this device ?
And where can i buy one online ?

Programs other than that witch came with it, like :
Sim-Emu 6.01
FileRecovery.For.MultiMediaCard
undeletesms.exe
Dont work with it (SIM reader does not mount a drive in 'my computer')
So i was wondering is there is an other way I can undelete SMS'es .

This device looks to me like a simple phoenix reader through USB. (USB1.1 and USB2.0 Version should have both the same speed. This is just to make people believe they get something 'better' with the 2.0 Version)

You can not use this device to program a Silver or Greencard. You need a pic programmer to write the firmware on the Blank "Microchip brand" card.

This device is only suitable to read the Ki (if you happen to have an old V1 GSM Card), read and write sms and phonebook entries. (MFGware (Devian) used to have a good software that should work with this device... if you have received proper drivers with your device.

I would not suggest to anybody to buy a "just phoenix" device. These devices are only good in combination with a ready-programmed Multisim card . Better pay 15 $ more and get a multi-chip card programmer. If it doesn't say Gold/Silver/Greencard programmer, than it can't burn them)
