Recovery PIN or PUK : is it possbile? - GSM-Forum

Hi all,
I have A SIM card and I lost its PIN and PUK.
Is it possible to recovery them in any way?I read on SIMCON 1.2 manual:

" If a PIN is unknown, it is however possible to obtain the corresponding PUK from the service provider based on the card identity (ICCID) retrieved from the card. Since PUK codes cannot be changed, the correct code will always be known to the service provider."

What does it mean exactly?How can I obtain the PUK starting from the ICCID?

Bro, Its simple, Just call ur service provider (customer care Line) and ask the for PUK, The only thing U have to give them Its Your Sim Card NUmber( phone number). And They wil Give U PUK code.

NOTE: dont tamper with it, otherwise u will get PUK 2, Lastly ur simcard will be blocked permanently

Thanks for your advices.Sadly the SIM is not mine and I don't know neither the number.
And even if I knew the number, my customer care would ask me other informations I don't have (name of the owner, address,tax identification number,etc..)

u can call to *******r care.or u can also find the pin n puk no that come with the new sim card.and most of the company have same pin no 1234.try this also

Normally you get a sheet with your SIM where both codes are written up.

As far as im aware this is only for T-Mobile simcards
