Member: 9824 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 79 | Rumors about MagicSim and other commercial products Its not the "program" on the sim-clone that is not working with specific network providers (THIS IS NOT TRUE) (as misinterpreted on some threads here) but our problem is, that You can NOT OBTAIN the secret Ki's from the original card without destroying them. The Software used inside "cloned Simcards" is always similar to sim-emu's Software which is FREE and always have been. Commercial products try to mislead you because of your lack of knowledge and experience. Don't get convinced to BUY some useless stuff because they claim to work while others wouldn't. If you read somewhere that specific programs used for a "xxxx network" card that had a limit could manage to find the Ki without destroying the card then know the REAL reason why: As you should know by now, the Ki is kind of a secret "Serial number" of your Sim-card used to authenticate you with the Network. It consists of a 128 bit number: 128 bit = FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF (HEX) 128 bit = 255 * 255 * 255 * ..... * 255 (16 times) (DECIMAL) 128 bit = 68939066126781634584010431060791015625 combinations As this 128 bit number is obtained through "Brute forcing" (trying all possible combinations until the correct number is found) IN EVERY SOFTWARE THAT IS USED TO GET THIS NUMBER, it takes a long time to be found. Sometimes, the Ki number on the card happen to be closer to the first tries and is found faster. This doesn't mean that the software used was better or not. It was just a lucky card. [Compare it with suitcase locks with the three number code to open. If somebody has the secret combination "123" and you would start to brute force from 000, 001, 002.... you would need only 123 tries. If the secret number would be something like "950" how many tries would you need? And what would happen if the LIMIT of your suitcase lock (until it gets broken) was 200 tries? I hope you get the point.] Please stop to advertise for one specific product. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, and don't be victims of commercials. 1) Read the thread "Following Cards Can be Cloned", search if yours belong to those that can be cloned. 2) Get a cheap phoenix reader (10 Euro or less) and download Woron_scan or Sim_scan (both are free) and try to find the secret Ki. If you have found it, proceed, if you don't... resell your phoenix on e-bay or use it to manage your phone contacts and copy your sms to your computer and stop here. WARNING: the reading of the Ki is dangerous for newer sim-cards. They can be destroyed. For this reason, please DO read the thread "Following Cards Can be Cloned" again. 3) If you managed to get your Ki buy a Pic programmer (little more expensive than our phoenix reader) and a silver- or greencard. Download the FREE sim-emu firmware for your sim-clone and program your new card. (you could have bought immediately a pic programmer as this device has "phoenix" mode too, but if you don't want to waste your money in case you can't get the Ki follow my simple steps.) 4) Type your IMSI and Ki like a sms into the Sim-emu clone card and enjoy your copy. 5) If your network card is not listed in the thread "Following Cards Can be Cloned"yet, add it please. Messages like... "this Network card I dont know" are useless and should be avoided. Don't blame me if you destroy your original simcard. If you don't want to risk your card's life, don't do it. If you want to risk it, copy all your phone entries before you proceed.... you never know if you get access to your card again. A new phonecard from your network provider is between 5 and 20 Euro. Search for that option, too. Have fun Ch@in Last edited by CH@IN; 06-25-2005 at 21:46. |
