sms extract without PIN1 - GSM-Forum

Hello buddys, first off sorry for my "english"

I have a old (4 years) sim that i don't remember PIN1 nor PUK , my old network can't give me the PUK, my lawyer tell me that even with a warrant they can't give me the PUK due they delete it (i'm not longer with this company since 2 years)

So i ask for you guys, what can i do, just i need few very importants sms that i store inside, i don't know what to do , i can prove i'm the card owner and of course, i'm willing to pay

any light?

hi,

IMHO no chance...
file with SMS stored on card must be protected for reading/updating by PIN1 (according to GSM 11.11 spec)

but anyway you can check your card with any sim content reading tool, some network operators can ignore basic security requirements...
