Hi

Maybe you can clone your SIM Card, but for sure you can get only one phone working at the same time, as the mobile network will do a "location update session" for the last powered_ON phone on their HLR/VLR (Home Location Register / Visitor Location Register), and will forget (not serve anymore) the previous one. CMIIW...

Hi,

I'm a newbie. Do you know where I can find more information about "clone SIM cards" in the forum.

I hope my question doesn't sound dumb.

Regards

I have had two phones with cloned sims on a network, either phone can make a call but if one phone is already on a call and a call is placed with the second phone, the first phone will drop it's call when the second phone makes a call. Also incoming calls only come through to the phone that was last on a call, as mentioned above about the location register.

Many Mobile service providers gives the benefit of Multi Sim Services in which one can use 2 different sims with same no.

Friend, Technically it is possible. But if you buy another Sim Card with the same number then the Customer Care center will block your previous Sim for sure.I know many service provider that do the same. But can you please mention your service provider?

Not True at all !!!

No provider will let you use multi simcards with same number.
You may request a second simcard associated to your original card (Car Kit card)
You may normally use the original sim card to make incoming and outgoing calls and your number will appear to others, and on second sim card you can only make outgoing calls, and your number will not be revealed, Your number will appear as Unknown or private
