unable to connect to smart card(sim) ... - GSM-Forum

with GSM SIM Utility V5.2, sim_scan (Dejan Kaljevic)
I tried with 3 types of smart card reader/writers:
- SCM Microsystems SCR301 USB smartcard reader
- SCM Microsystems SCR201 smartcard reader
- Gemplus GemPC410 smartcard reader
with the messages:
"System could not be connected to card reader" and "unable to open com port"
what is strange is that those devices works (read/write contacts ) with:
- Dekart SimManager
- Data Doctor Recovery SIM Card
- TestResMan (basic tool provided by SCM Microsystems)

I should buy a custom made device in order to used the above tools?
It should work with these devices?
Should I try more??
