| Why would I want to clone my sim? I have been reading some posts in here. I live in the USA. I have T-Mobile. I have a old pac-tel sim. Am ATT sim as well as an un-subscribed T-Mobile sim. My question: What can I do with a cloned sim? Why would I do this? Stupid question? Sorry. Just curious, maybe adventurous. Last edited by doogiebarnes; 06-13-2003 at 21:41. |

| why would I have more than one phone number? My sim already hold 250 names and numbers. I am still not sure of the benifits. Seems like its just something to do. |

| Yes, it seems like... But, you may want to do something like this: (if your provider have more than one tariff system) One number with tariff 1 (same price whole day. every day) One number wiht tariff 2 (cheap during night and weekend, expensive during working hours) and you can make calls with number apropriate for that day and time (like I do). Or you can switch to different provider when you (if you ever) go out of your country, state... (like I do) Or you just can have different numbers for different occasions: bussines calls, private calls, mistress calls... Or maybe you want to have 254 FDN numbers? Or you hate name of your network provider on phone display, and like to se your name instead (or your girl's name). Or you want to have your own PUK and PUK2 numbers (which you can always remember)? Or maybe you just love tehnology... But anyway, in USA you do not have GSM system (as far as I know), so all this is irrelevant to you, I think (maybe wrong)? | we have GSM by Tmobile, ATT and Cingular. It is GSM 1900. some of the things you mention like tarriffs don't apply to us in the usa, but i can see the benifits of one sim multi numbers. thanks for the help |
