i've stayed away from unlocking Note 3s and the kitkat versions of some of the s4s and s5 particularly cos of the unpredicable outcomes. is it worth it if you charge say $20 to unlock such devices and have to in the event of a fault buy a replacement device at say $350 minimum??? i always do the code option after explaining the ramifications of the software unlocks to the client. had to deal with an issue a repairer friend encountered recently. he had a client bring in a note 3 to be updated to the latest kitkat version. after the OTA update of the device, the imei, baseband became unknown. turned out the device had been previously unlocked using these SUPERIMEI (SERVICE IMEI) solutions and now he's left with having to get a replacement device for the client. please think twice before proceeding with these solutions. sorry | |
