what is rooting of Androids ?

I have asked this question so many time here .. but no appropriate reply is given ..

I have got S5670 Galaxy Fit with Pattern Lock ..
I made thread that I am not getting success to unlock pattern .. I have been suggested that I need to root the phone ist .. How .. That is not said.

Then I googled .. I found method of rooting which is not also working Asansam ..
here is step by step method in picture

after doing all this in Asansam dongle same error

Code:

 Prepairing ...OK
 Device Found!
 Removing Pattern Lock ...  [Err:0] Permission denied!
 Operation Completed
 Operation Time: 00:00:04

Please and please if any one knows actual method .. suggest me

why don't you just hard reset ur phone for removing pattern unlock

just hold the menu button and press power button then select wipe data factory reset

sometimes the data is more important than the cell phone user
