Y530-U051, Unlock succesful, but can update firmware after? [SOLVED] - GSM-Forum

I have successfully unlocked the Y530-U051 with this tool, thank you for that

But when I go to system update, the phone sees there is a newer build version out (it is on B185, phone prompts to download and install B188)

But when i go to download and install, an error keeps popping up stating download failed. This has happened on all of the phones I unlocked with zzkey (all same model from same provider)

The other phones that I unlocked via unlock code have no issue downloading and installing update (again, all same model from same provider)

If i use this key to unlock these phones, you can't install the updates?

Have you tried unrooting the phone? This might help.

i never rooted the phone, i just unlocked it using the huawei advanced tool

does the huawei zzkey tool root the phone?

how do i un-root? does this get rid of the unlock?

Yea the tool autoroots it. Download and run Kingo. USB debugging must be on and make sure the phone screen is on to allow access to commands. It's pretty easy to root and unroot most phones with either Kingo or Vroot.

After unlock your phone, not come locked anymore, so. you can do unroot without any problem.

why not put an option in the tool to unroot after? it doesn't have to be automatic, it could be an option no?

i can confirm after unrooting with kingo i can update firmware and phone stays unlocked

it would be great if the tool auto-unrooted the phone after as well (as it auto-roots to unlock)
