Arrow Motorola E5 play verizon Relocked after Update


Hi, many motorola e5 play verizon has been locked again after verizon ota update. Trying unlock with sigma, the program gives unlock code, but the phone dont ask unlock code..

If you use verizon sim card, you can see in settings phone ask unlock code, but the sigmakey code is wrong...

What can i do?

Yes let us hope the developers can fix this very serious problem.
But in the meantime advise all customers: DO NOT UPGRADE THE MOTO E5 PLAY VERIZON!! With the Verizon upgrade assistant.
Or they will lose their unlock.

It seems like it doesn't matter if you have automatic updates turned off, some customers are now reporting it is upgrading automatic, without phone owners consent. Multiple Moto E5 Play from Verizon have updating turned off and are updating automatic. Turning Moto E5 Play Verizon into a nightmare for anyone who has unlocked with code generated from Sigmakey. I sure hope someone can find a solution.

Maybe @GSM_support could inform us about what is happening or give us ideas what they may think is happening. I have a lot of very unhappy customers who depend on their Moto E5 Play Verizon.

Security backups are getting saved automatically by Sigma Software during phone servicing operations.
Send these security backups to us. Along with the short descriptions.

Did you try servicing phone before update and after it was updated?
If yes, upload 2 security backups from the same phone. First one from the phone servicing before it was updated and second one after it.
