"Please connect Sigmakey/Box" error - GSM-Forum

Updated my Sigmakey last night, now it won't run at all. I get the "Please connect Sigmakey/Box" error. I have installed the latest (2.28.01) version of the s/w. I have also reinstalled the card drivers. There are no errrors in my Device manager tree. Please help

Can Smart Card be detected by PC?

Yes, it is in DM. Photo attached. When I first booted today, it said 'S-Card error and a number ..' but now all it says is 'please connect'

And I am getting the same errors on 2 different computers, which have previously run the program without issue.

Uninstall Smart Card drivers, re-connect box and launch Sigma Software.

So I uninstalled the card drivers. This time, when I plugged in the dongle, it loaded new drivers:

@ cellman2010,

One of possible reasons could be that Windows OS installs some other drivers.
Try installing Sigma Software at another PC, for a test purposes.

I had sigmakey running on two laptops and one PC. On the SAME DAY, it quit working on all three machines. There must be something psychically wrong with the key. I have removed the SIM card and cleaned it, with no improvement. I think the last S-Card f/w update must have corrupted the software on the key. How can we fix this ? Do you do teamviewer ?

Install latest Sigma Software, check whether it can read your SigmaKey serial number.
In case smart card could not be detected, try deleting drivers for it and re-connecting SigmaKey, launching SigmaKey at another PC.
In case it still can not be detected, nothing can be done about it.

Perform following steps:

Delete Smart Card drivers
Re-connect SigmaKey to another USB port
Run Sigma Software

If same issue appears PM me serial number of your SigmaKey.
