With help of SigmaKey this phone model can be unlocked easily.
Just check unlock manual attentively and run unlock operation according to it.

i downloaded and installed the sigmakey software but it keeps asking me to "please select serial port"

Looking for S-Card... Not found, No card readers available
Please connect SigmaKey dongle

Do you have SigmaKey dongle or SigmaBox?

Unlock manual:

Quote:

Select "Qualcomm" platform from the tab menu in upper left side of the software
Go to "Unlock" tab
Install required Android USB Driver Installer (only if the phone is connected for the first time)
Set the phone to "FTM" mode
Connect the phone to PC with USB cable
Select ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface in the ports selection tab
Press "Unlock" button*

Manual on how to enter phone into FTM mode:
