@ danilaperera,

Open Qcom -> Service tab and "Vodafone Smart E8 VDF51X" from the drop-down menu. Connect the phone to PC in FTM mode.

Hi,
I'm trying to unlock this phone but I think I am missing the drivers as I can't see any ports to choose from...

Have done FTM mode and also put the VFD513downgrade.skf in correct folder

What am I missing?

Manual: Open Qcom -> Service tab and select required ZTE/Vodafone model from the drop-down menu. Connect the phone to PC in FTM mode.

Nope it didn't unlock it and already try the steps you listed...and same thing

Make sure that everything was done in accordance to that manual.
Restore your initial backup, flash downgrade file, unlock.
Show the log.

Connect phone to another USB port, re-install all of the phone's drivers and try running unlock operation once again.
