is it possible to change bands 900/1800, on chinesse phones?

hello, i have received many chinesse phones with this problem they are from abroad and they don't get signal or service in my country which work on 1900 mhz and 850 mhz. is there any posible trick to change gsm bands?

i have tried with *#3643366# code then select network change bands but nothing happens.

can anybody help me with this?

is it posible or it's beyond repair?
