Erro Windows 10 X64 Volcano Box not detected

To all Volcano Box Red Merapi Box users.

In the past I faced problems opening on all windows 8/10 X64bit O.S. my Volcano Box to use it with Volcano SW, Merapi and also Inferno when she became avaiablle.

Always was giving the same type of error messages, like:
  • 1 -This device cannot start. (Code 10)
  • 2 - A device which does not exist was specified.

Also when trying to open the software some type of message like the ones bellow would pop up.
  • Disconect with the Volcano, the program is terminated
  • Volcano Box Not Found. Please Connect Box and Run Software Again

But when asked at this forum all solution wherent working.

As for this one for example:

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f723.../#post11998233

and many others that can be searched here at forum

So as I have told Zoneofash a solution was found.

So lets go to what this error is about

As in the past said Volcano Team relys on Prolific Update.

Because of that, and due to many other hardware problems that I was facing at shop from clients.
I started digging about what could be the reason until I found an article that stated about Fake PL 2303 chips.
And many of the items that where apearing where those type of items we normally buy abroad at Aliexpress or Ebay markets.
And everyone know that there are many good and also many other bad sales being done.

So the article stated that:

Quote:
In the newest drivers Prolific blocked all fake chips and the driver in Windows 8.1 is also blocking my fake pl2303.
But not all are problems, there was also a solution.
Witch I have tested at Volcano Box and it entirelly works at Windows 8/8.1/10 X64 bit OS.

Users must:

Quote:
Install old drivers – version 3.3.2.105

So due to that info I started to try older, and older drivers, and what I found was that Volcano Box at least my Red One
when I install the old drivers version refered at the article v.3.3.2.105.

All starts working properlly at every Windows 10 X86/X64 OS PC

Before every time I conected it to a diferent PC with windows 10 X64 OS it gaved me errors at Prolific even switching OFF driver signature, and when I install at that same PC even with Driver signature ON with Prolific Newest Driver version

In conclusion:
This time OLD is the one who Rules

Hoppefully this article might help everyone, if so please press Thumbs UP Please

Drivers can be downloaded at the folowing link:

Hopefully will also soon release a video showing the all errors and driver update procedure and will post at this thread.
