Hello, If you select model and firmware carefully then it's not possible to get dead. so please select correct model and correct firmware and repeart procedure again.

connect tp (it make one port) right ?
after erased ( it automatically make two ports) rights ?
after patch flash ( it's reboot and automatically two ports ) right ?

now just disconnect internet and plug dongle and enter ip address of modem in browswer for sure it will open it's home page

about not detecting in Dc. just run Dc into Admin mode.
