Your Device has fake OS id [4.2]
See your device real OS id in is your log
it shows

Model= ALPS.GB2.MP.V2
[GB means Ginger Bread, means it is 2.3 version O.S not 4.2]

I think from ICS OS, Phones need root for repairing of imei

From 2.2 is Froyo
From 2.3 is Ginger Bread or GB
From 3.0 is Honey Comb
From 4.0 is Ice ***** Sandwich or ICS
From 4.1 to 4.2 is Jelly Bean or JB

Now a days many china android phones comes with this type fake OS ids. So attention all users

I am discussing about fake OS not fake Phones. first see thread title carefully
In that he mentioned that "Android 4.2.0 imei repaired" means did he repaired imei in latest jelly Bean version of Android OS device? he just repair Ginger Bread [2.3] version imei and announce as jelly bean imei repaired. it is his mistake

I saw many people take this same mistake in android phones. if you edit "build.prop" file in android OS with 5 or 10,These same numbers are shown in Phone. that means that phone comes with Android 5 or Android 10 os. is it real?

Your other P.S all ready announce that "IMEI repairing of ICS ,JB Phones requires Root" for your tools. Directly imei repairing is possible in GB or bellow versions phones only.

I already told you this is education purpose only. not fighting purpose. i just want share my knowledge with other users. If you don't like just ignore

Do you know in older days 128MB memory cards comes with 2GB printing. Peoples are believe that it is original 2GB, but they are cheated. Same as some Chinese Android phones comes with lower version OS and announce that it has higher version OS. These Phones also shows higher OS Id in "About Menu". that is fake id. So observe this.
Higher version OS also requires high end hardware. so cheep phones generally has lower version OS.

In this thread that guy actually repaired 2.3 version phone imei and announce that 4.2.0 version imei repaired. that is mistake.see how many user thanked with out observation.means i think that they don't know this fake OS id issue.so i want share my knowledge with others.that is why i am posting here

Personally i think that now any china tool not support ICS and JB imei re pare . because i don't see any proper success log report.some peoples said that in tool it is done, but not success in phone. i hope that it is fixed in upcoming updates.
