Volcano Box Cables explained

i am the proud owner of a volcano box with cables.

the website has a lot of tutorials showing how phones were unlocked flashed etc using volcano box with nice images etc

but there no clear tutorial that explains which cable, jig to connect where and to which phone.

for example, there is a tut on how to unlock pattern of original samsung android and it says use usb cable. how do i connect a usb cable to volcano box, there is no provision made and i never got such a cable

does one always use rx and tx with jig to connect any phone?

must pinouts always be detected before any operation on phone?

must the phone sometimes use its battery as power and jig to connect

if i knew how to use volcano 100% i wouldve made a clear sticky thread to explained when and how to use which cable in which case
