Is a Serial to USB Port Required?

Hi

According to 4se website in order to unlock MSM7227 and QSD8250 chipset I will need a serial to usb port because a recovery cable will need to be used, is this correct?

Also these Videos are using one I believe:

However this video shows the person unlocking it with out test point and is using Android Debug Bridge instead.

Please explain if I need to buy a serial to usb port box in order to unlock MSM7227 and QSD8250 chipset?

Kind regards

Can DarkMen or a member of the sales team please respond?

Please explain if I need to buy a serial to usb port box in order to unlock MSM7227 and QSD8250 chipset?

Also what is android debuging mode, can a serial port be avoided in this situation?
