trying to unlock w995 using 4se tool 1.8.5

Sorry my post below was incorrect. Trying to use 4se tool 1.8.5 with dongle to unlock Sony W995. 4se says plug phone in holding key 5+2 together, but nothing happens. I know Im missing something probably very easy, any help would be very much appreciated

clean your phone jack and try same procedure and check and post result

• Install 4SE V1.8.5
• Install ADBdrivers from: Start->Applications->4SE
• Install USBFlash drivers from: Start->Applications->4SE
• Connect your dongle(card + reader) and let windows install the drivers automatically, in case it cant find drivers , pls select the most appropriate drivers depending on what reader and OS u have from here : The Smart Card Reader Drivers

Try to use full charge bettery & driver shoulb be installed, check it.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I cleaned jack with 99.9% alcohol, it was a little dirty. Cleaned up nice. Still no connection and phone does nothing.

Not sure if any drivers are meant to install when plugged in with key 2+5 held down, but nothing happens, any further advice ?

Thanks so much for your help and assistance, it really is appreciated. I installed all the drivers as you recommended and everything went fine. Now the problem is when I start 4se i get an error message saying FATAL smart card not found.

So I unistalled 4se and reinstalled, also reinstalled the drivers (just to make sure) and still getting same error 'FATAL - smart card not found)

I have ensured no other USB devices are plugged in and I have restarted computer.

Any advice?

Smart card dont found - means reader not installed, check ur device manager
You have nerokey>4se upgrade or a new 4se dongle and which reader do u have?

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to gsm_links for the assistance today, totally brilliant service. Reinstalled drivers, reinstalled dongle and updated software. All working now and the phone I was trying to unlock is now unlocked. Very happy chap and thanks once again to gsm_links
