Hi - Im having trouble with this model (X10i) can you please help or point me to a tutorial as its driving me mad!
The problem is when it says press back button and connect the usb cable nothing happens it just sits there doing nothing I have tried a different cable & a new cable but still no joy. Am I correct in using a Nokia CA-101 cable? Is there something else I need to do ? Is there something I need to change on the phone ?

1. Install the drivers that are in the installation folder of the 4SE (Windows XP Start Button - All Programs - 4SE)
a) Install Drivers ADB
b) Install Drivers USBFlash

2. X10 phone version must be 2.1 , if phone version more then or less then 2.1, now you can flash your phone with 2.1 version file available in support area.

3. Click start button & connect micro usb cable

For driver installation:-

Thank you for your quick reply. I tried everything you said and still it would not connect. Just out of sillyness I tried clicking on the other X10 (SO-01B) and it recognises the phone straight away so I am assuming it is this model I am trying to unlock. But I cannot find any software in the support area to downgrade to 2.1 for unlock. Can this model be unlocked using this method? Thank you once again for your help.

X10(SO-01B) version is not 2.1 then you can unlock via testpoint (supported all version). you need Qualcomm recovery cables. Pls follow the link carefully & watch all video demo.
