bb 9700 batter problem


Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone can help
I got a bb 9700 and when I plug it in to charge I get a battery symbol with a single Red line though it what does this mean and how do I fix it

1.change battery.
2.check bat connector four point.any thing missing or open or shorted.
3.BAT_ID next to battery + is most important for battery symbol with a single Red line .if it open than do jumper from bat connector BAT_ID to R1305 near CPU.If you have any other 9700 9780 than compare with it.
