BB8520 battery cross sign - GSM-Forum

Heyy guys i need help with a bb8520.The problem is that the set won't turn on with the battery i don't even get a red light blink but
as soon as i insert the usb cable i get a red light blink and the set turns on but then i just get a battery with red cross.
When i remove the battery the set just turns off.

Any solutions?????????????

reball or change U607 & U608 ...tested by me

post number5 above,that works 100% ive used this method on 4 8520s with cross on battery,but i not solder the wire to the ic,i solder to the tiny resister (bottom part)next2 the ic.----its inbetween the ic and the capacitor

@bcatlock1->Yes but i think the solution that you mentioned is for when the set turns on with the battery and then loads for a bit and than gives the cross sign but in my case the set will only turn on with the usb cable(or charger)attached and not read the battery at all and give a cross sign P.S i have already tried that solution but it doesn't help.

@harun->I still haven't tried what you mentioned i will try that today and let you know.

Sorry for not posting i was off for a couple of days..And yes i tried that solution but unfortunately it did not work..Now i have 6 sets with the same problem.
@harun the set on which i tried this solution is not dead.

You need to apply the jumper solution given by harun in post #3..try that and post result cause your set turns on with the battery but in my case the battery cannot start the phone up,it only starts up with the charger...Also try to use another battery or look if this battery can turn on an other phone..
